This week: two more breathing tests on two different days, chase my ENT doctor down for the referral for the second opinion, get the insurance referral from the primary care, schedule and get the second opinion. Sometime in the next six weeks: sign the authorization for surgery, get 'medically cleared' (whatever that means), schedule and do the actual surgery, recover, quit my job, move cross-country. I'm kind of skeptical that it's actually going to happen at this point.

If I didn't need the insurance from my job to get all this crap paid for I would just quit now, because dealing with all this is starting to feel like a full-time gig.

Bon chance at the race, with your health, and moving out of NYC. I'm sending positive thoughts your way and not via USPS, they're bad at getting things there in a timely fashion.
