Thanx, Barrett, I have studied some industrial chain literature and the design and metallurgy is amazing to me. The environments and stresses that these chains have to survive in is shocking to someone not familiar with them. We have cranes in our inventory and the chains in the transmissions for the cable drum drives is remarkable and that is simple and not severe as chains go, loads and the sudden shocks they take is scarry. Bicycle and motorcycle chain technology has come so far since the 70's when I began racing MX. We ate chains regularly then.
