They can be adjusted to keep the sun out of your eyes, but if its to that point, it becomes harder to see the road/cars around you. Why not just get yourself some prescription sunglasses? Expensive, sure, but 100% worth it.
My vision is a little past -13.00 in each eye. They don't make most prescription sunglasses past +/- 4, then there are a few at +/-8, and I know of one pair that goes to +/-12.
It's sadly not an option for me. I may have to get contacts, and sunglasses, and use them strictly for riding.
