We borrowed my mom's Univega for my wife in college. It felt like 50 lbs of wheeled lead and handled like you would expect it to. Why lock a piece of junk like that? Unfortunately drunk people don't give a rip what it looks like and somebody "borrowed" it for a ride and never returned it. I was more pissed that they likely junked it immediately than I was that they took it. Imagine this in silver:



I love all the bikes in this thread. I have a soft-spot in my heart for otherwise unloved bikes.
