Thanks ultraman6970. Yup. Looks bad. I had been to one store, where the sales guys suggested the mechanic may be able to fix this. Ofcourse, he was a sales guy and had not much idea about this. Looking at the other lever, I guess the nuts somehow keeps the lever from coming out of place.
I will have to take it to the store again. Will update this.
