What was interesting is that Cav's main sprint rivals were dropped on the Ardennes stage, tho' I imagine the Ardennes climbs were (relatively) short and sharp. We could also bear in mind that he didn't have a full Sky leadout train.

Having contenders for the yellow and green will pose support problems for Sky, but Cav has shown himself perfectly capable of latching on to others when necessary - World's anyone?
