CR does a good job of reccomending functional products to the average consumer, who just wants a working product,, but has no enthuasim for the type of product. So it's probably fine for a washing machine.

But I've found that for virtually any product category, for which I would be an enthusiast, such as cars, sound systems, cameras, bikes, etc. I almost always disagree with them.
