Street rider says:

True, but is any riding really 'normal'? We all hit potholes and bumps, have to ride off curbs every now and then, etc. Stupid things happen, and it only takes one stupid little thing to ruin a frame made out of a material that, stressed the right way under even the slightest pressure (metaphorically-ish speaking), would fail. Steel is just better suited to take the abuse.
The one thing that you should always remember:

Never underestimate the toughness of titanium! It's tougher than both carbon fiber and steel!

PS.

Brushed titanium is both scratch and dent resistant...

Ti Cons

Too Flexy
Not As Light As Carbon
Too Expensive
