That's what I thought, and I asked here if Strava provided incentives for records or used it in marketing, but either nobody knew or else thought it was irrelevant. If Strava is benefiting from the competitions I'd want to look closer at what they're doing to encourage it, and there's a fuzzy legal line there at some point.
