Just what do you mean by "chain suck"?

My definition of chain suck is when it rides up the backside of the chainring. If that's what's happening to your bike, the answer is that worn chainrings can definitely cause chain suck. A trick that works sometimes is to wire brush the chainrings to knock down the burr that forms at the worn teeth. I've also seen a number of home made and commercial gizmos that attach to the chainstays and project outward to knock down the chain as it tries to ride up the backside of the chainring.
