Thanks for posting that Azorch! That looks like a great way to ballpark the date on an old pug.
I can vouch for the '71, '75 and '82 badges - though I have only seen the '82 raised plastic version on European market bikes, so there may be a little bit of uncertainty in the chart.

PS_ That most recent 2010 badge is lamentable.
