You're right, I want to change it mainly for maintenace purpose, the bike is a 30 years old VÉLO SPORT (cheap canadian made low end bike) so no real value to preserve. The frame is strong so I want to turn it into my commuter (61 kms/day) so I'll need to remove the cranck for maintenance once in a while but I dont have a cotter press.
