I know. It's stupid.
However, the only way I've been able to keep it up is to simply think of it as "my commute".
Bicycling is the only form of exercise that I've ever found enjoyable. I don't enjoy it because of the physical aspect of it. I enjoy it because to me it's simply fun. Knowing me, if I were to look at it as exercise I'd likely lose interest quickly.
Again, I know, that's a dumb way to think. Sometimes I can't help being dumb.
No stupid at all. I hate the gym because it bores me to tears but I've been backpacking 35 years because I love it. The only thing that gets me on the bike is because it is fun. When I was a kid I'd beg, borrow and steal for gas so I could go water skiing. So......today I work out more than anybody I know but wild buffaloes couldn't force a sit-up out of me. I am addicted to sunshine.
