W/o pics and/or measurement, the only ones who can tell are those who have personal experience with that particular bike - and I'm not one of those.

But there's not a lot of bike parts that are truly obsolete.

A quick google shows that bike as having a cottered crank, not something I've worked with much.
But at worst, it should be possible to replace that with a square taper crankset to keep the bike rolling.
