Funny you mention this, because I live on a private road in Massachusetts. I can't think of a law that doesn't apply on my street. Even if it's a private street, if the local municipalities provide any type of maintenance and upkeep to the street, then the residents of that street are subject to the same municipal laws as everyone else. That's not speculation or opinion speaking, it's experience speaking. Living on a private way can be a pain the ass sometimes.
