I carry a mini pump, 2 tubes and 3 tire levers and that is it. Never have mechanicals because my bike - thought it may be dirty - is in perfect tune.
And...about the guy who lost a cleat bolt, what good would taking a bolt out of the other side do unless he lost 2 bolts (Look style cleat) out of the shoe?
