Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

Any standard nutted show will work.

You now have one piece shoes without curved washers which allow adjustment of toe-in. You can buy another similar set, or a one piece with curved washers, like a Kool Stop Thread Eagle. Or if you ride a lot and expect to keep this bike, replacing many shoes over it's lifetime, you can buy shoes with metal holders and slide in replaceable pads. This will cost twice as much now, but pay for itself with less costly inserts over time.

BTW- there are also differences in pad material. Kool Stop salmon pads, and similar, are grippier and work better in cool or wet weather conditions, while standard black pads are harder, and last longer especially in hot conditions.

Between brand, style, and pad material, you now have about 100 possibilities to choose from, all of which will fit.
