I have a mixed feelings of being sad and chuckling when I see people grind up a hill with some ridiculous 11/23 cassette with standard 39 in the front, while I spin away past them in my wussy 34/27. Not to say I don't have a 11/23 cassette, but that is reserved for flat crits/circuit races.
