This is a heavy MTB fork. Carbon fiber can be made strong if you can afford to make it heavy and lose some stiffness. Niner carbon fork weighs 565 g. A typical high-end road carbon fork weighs around 300. A high-end road carbon frame will also be correspondingly weaker.
As I wrote before, carbon fiber does not bend. It either bounces back or shatters. How easy is it to shatter a carbon road frame? Let's just say that it can be done by over-tightening the seat post clamp by hand...
