I like watching the Tour, I like it so much that I'll often sit through the entire three hour broadcast, even though I know the 4 man break will get reeled in in the last 10 km and the sprinters' teams will start sending the leadout trains to the front for a 40 mph dash to the line for the last 5k, I've seen this a bazillion times. But I still enjoy the show, love everything about the Tour, the scenery (my late German Grandma used to watch the Tour in Germany just because she loved the gorgeous helicopter scenery shots), the special interest stories, the gear snippets, etc.
But unless it's a hilly stage of some sort, that's the general plot. About 10% of the time the break succeeds, and that's always more interesting.
It's just fantastic having 3-4 hours of daily HD coverage of the Tour, I wish we got it for every race, we get it for some. But nothing beats the Tour de France, it's like a 3 week long Super Bowl.
