In football, stuff is actually happening the entire time. Like real action. Big hits, amazing catches, great runs. Now, the one-day events are different. Those are pretty exciting the whole time, but a stage race is pretty boring until the last 20 miles. Just a lot of jockying around. IF that's your thing, fine. I'm just saying NBC would probably have better viewership if they cut it down to an hour and 90 minutes. 4 hours every day for three weeks is way too much. They didn't show the entire Tour of California, just the last 25 miles each day. That was easy to watch and keep up with the action.
Stuff is happening in cycling too. If you don't care or don't get it then don't watch. Doesn't mean they should cut their broadcast to meet your needs. Go out and ride your bike and quit complaining about what other people enjoy watching. Btw, I was pissed about the ToC coverage. Thought they should have at least given us the second half of each day.
