I disagree. (1) He was probably feeling the effects of yesterday's crash. (2) He's not great in an uphill sprint even when he's 100%. (3) He's not the type of guy who fights for 3rd place when he knows he can't win. If he knows the sprint is over, he tends to sit up.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Wiggins. Next year won't suit him so much, so I would expect Cav to get more support. All will be forgiven if Cav wins the Olympics.
