I think that Shimano just might be selling its name on single speed components. That's it!
So that must mean that the same gruppo hierarchy in single speeds, is the same hierarchy in road bikes...

Same hierarchy, but I don't actually think Shimano produces other track cranksets. I think its just DA. They don't feel the need to produces low end/middle cranksets in a market that is already flooded.
