However, I still believe that Shimano is just selling their name. A decent and durable crankset can be made with state of the art precision with relative ease these days. It doesn't necessarily have to have the name Dura Ace or Shimano on it...
That's why they don't all say Dura Ace on them. It's one of the stiffest, lightest cranksets available.
The point still stands, even if those bikes don't have DA on them, they don't have
anything on them. Nothing worth the price they're asking, Which is why bikesdirect has become the obvious solution for many.
