Is there room for 3 at that table?

As much as I love my Italians I know the first bike I would buy money no object is a campy 11 equipped Goodrich cross bike. The second would be Italian carbon dressed in super record eps and the 3rd would likely be a custom American touring frame with Athena 3x11, full racks, disc brakes, and integrated lights.

On a more realistic level I do have an appreciation for 80s and 90s "house brand" frames. Many of these frames are well built and sell for pennys compared to equivalent name brand frames. As a bonus thes also start conversations. My Yokota has seen 6+ component groups since new, my dad raced it, trained on it, commuted with it, and I've taken it down. Despite all of that it is still straight, dent free, and the paint has held up. What more do I really need?
