The tops of deep rims usually end in an apex, so it's quite aesthetically displeasing to have a valve ring on. If your stems are rattling, try cutting a small "X" in the middle of a suitably color electrical tape to thread a stem through and use the tape to hold the stem steady with the rim. Like so:

Someone actually sells stickers purpose-made for this function although electrical tape is really really cheap and comes in colors.
