Info on older American Classic hubs?

I came across an American Classic rear hub threaded for a freewheel in a trash pile. Looks like the second set in the link:

I've never messed with AC stuff at all. Does anyone know if I can still order the black 'axle caps' that sit on either end of the hub and contain the part that gets clamped in the frame dropout?

Also, I'm not sure how to go about removing the 'inner' axle to replace the (sealed) bearings. If anyone out there knows about working on these hubs, I would greatly appreciate some info or links.
