What part of its originality aren't you sure about? Everything but the wheels look original to me. New they sold for about $475ish.

They are great riding bikes I have no idea how many miles I put on mine the first year I had it but after it was religated to #2 in the lineup it still saw its fair share of use as a commuter, then I rebuilt it for cross, then back to commuter again. I did a somersault through an intersection with it one night on my way home from work. The back wheel was ruweened and had to put the frame in the stand and had to straighten it out a bit. After that it still rides great. Mine was black though.



I changed my stem and bars to allow me to sit more upright and put a different brake lever on it.

As for resale... I would like to think mine is worth 1K but realistically I see these and the '88/89 ones being offered for anywhere between $200 and $500. Condition pending I think $200-225 for a '87 is good. Slightly more for an '88 or '89 as they were mostly Celeste and had shimano 7spd which is easier to upgrade to sti type shifters.
