Bikes: Schwinn Trailwise, Surly Pugsley

Please tell us your age.

51

1. What type of bikes do 50+ folks ride?

Two wheels with lots of gears! I have a Scwinn Trailways hybrid and an old Scwinn Varsity.

2. Do you take any special supplements/vitamins/minerals as you have grown older?

Yes, but not because I've grown older. I take Vit. D as I turned up deficient in that, that's about it.

3. How much do you feel you have "slowed down" if any?

Hmmm, not sure what this means. Most seem to think it means 'race time'---never raced, so I don't know. Sure haven't slowed down in anything I can think of. There isn't anything I did at 25 that I'm not still doing at 51.

4. How long have you been biking? New, around a while, biked all your life?

Off and on, all my life.

5. What type of biking do you do? Long rides, touring, short rec rides.

Short, rec. type rides for the most part. I like to find a trail and see where it goes. I do like a good road bike and a hill challenge though!

6. How often do you bike? Your approximate annual mileage?

dunno...I'm sure it will vary as I'm usually not commuting anywhere.

If you haven't already, perhaps you might indicate your age. It helps others to see that folks 50+ do great things.

I"m 51...and before the peanut gallery chimes in, I've already had my colonoscopy; my PSA is normal; I don't have arthritis, heart disease, hypertension or diabetes.
