I was quite happy with Continental's Travel Contact, it is their Adventure-Expedition,
Touring design, gatorskin sidewall .. took them off since a lot of folks thought the
smooth center and knobby fringe tread , was a worn out tire.
Tread in fact is designed for paved or unpaved roads.

Now I have Schwalbe Marathon Plus on there.
it's the tire I have on my Bike Friday too 406-47.
