A student from last term's scuba classes was hit by a DUI hit and run two weeks ago. She was hit around midnight, commuting home. I didn't know her very well, she was another instructors student but she was so bad she wound up coming to every pool session at least once, and working with every instructor on staff at least once, until she finally got it and was able to perform the skills necessary to get certified. She died this morning.
