Sky has basically abandoned Cav this year. The effects of that lack of support are already apparent in the stage wins and points.
I expect half the reason he's putting up with it is because he supports the team, and the other half is because he's almost certainly focusing on the Olympics. I can't imagine he'd be thrilled with similar treatment next year.
