Thanks for the replies, you strengthened the opinion I had. I have read that a lot of people found the atx very comfortable. I am 5'9 1/2" with a 33" inseam. So a 56cm-58cm seems to be about right.

Wahoonc, you have some nice bikes there brother. I was curious if the geometry of a mtb would be to unresponsive for touring safely and comfortably while loaded but it seems to me your Iguana is pretty darn close geometry wise to the sedona frame.

Chrispringle, thanks for the info about the gear set and your observations of other people.

Big Lew, thanks for your reply. It seems like you have some good experience in "making it work". I felt I could use a solid frame that fits and build it up to perform how I need.
