Yup. Downtube friction shifters (not that there's anything wrong with that).
Tight gearing, so you may want to change it if you have steep hills.
Make sure it's the right size.
What's your budget ? What type of riding planned ?
Maybe you could spend $500+ and get a more modern bike with indexed shifting and wider gear ratios.
