Good advice guys.
I'm going to visit my LBS and see if they'll do it for me, because I'm not sure I want to put a 2x4 into the frame.
I have to say, this Campy stuff seem's awfully complicated compared to Shimano. While there is an awful lot of 7 and 8 speed Shimano stuff around, there is hardly any Campy. So while I wouldn't mind sticking with 7 speeds, like on my other bikes, it doesn't appear to be possible with Campy. And moving up the ladder also seem's less complicated when dealing with Shimano. It's really taking me awhile to get up to speed with these Campy compatibility issues! But I'll persevere, because I do want to have at least one Campy equipped bike in the stable. I have a set of Centaur(look just like Record)brakes on the way now anyway, so Campy it's going to be!
The prices are another thing - Record DT shifters seem to average $125 or more! And I hear the Synchro II shifters were pretty bad. I'm not sure I get it. Derailleurs and cranks seem to be abit more reasonable.
I'll get there guys! Thanks again...
