The 7.6 is more like a road bike, which is why it has narrower tires. 24 spokes in the rear is at the low end for number of spokes and are often rated for lighter riders. If you have rough road, wider tires at lower pressure will help. Sorry, I don't know how wide a tire the bike will accept. The limits are the fork spacing, the chainstay spacing, rim width. I don't think brakes are an issue. Someone will probably know the tire widths this bike accepts.
