I've been getting foot hotspots and numbness on long rides. My bike was professionally fit with the shoes I'm riding with now. They are clipless, and
this is the shoe I'm wearing.
I've seen some suggestions about moving the clip back, but I'm always a little weird about changing things on my bike. I'm afraid of overcorrecting and affecting other things and getting all out of whack. One article I read said to lower the seat 1mm for every 1mm I move the cleat back. But then if I lower the seat, what does that do to other angles?
I did see another suggestion about getting insoles which I think may help. I've worn insoles in my regular shoes before and it made a big difference. I'm guessing that I might want something a little more specific to bike shoes though.
Anyone using insoles in their cycling shoes, can you make any recommendations?
Thanks!
Mike
