Interesting. I wonder how they secured the NDS cup without a lockring
I may have mis-spoke without thinking. Moving the right side cup outward would be the thing to do if the spindle was too short on the right side, i.e. the bearing surfaces too far apart. But if the spindle itself was too short it would indeed move the left side inward too far.
