1. What type of bikes do 50+ folks ride?

I have a Schwinn fastback that was my "starter bike" a few years ago - starting to think about trading up

2. Do you take any special supplements/vitamins/minerals as you have grown older?

3. How much do you feel you have "slowed down" if any?

Actually over the last year I have sped up. I started riding about 5 years ago, then had to put the bike away and have a few foot surgeries (now have 4 pins in one of my feet) weight went up, and life went down. Took control in January and have lost 70 pounds, and taken up some serious riding.

4. How long have you been biking? New, around a while, biked all your life?

5. What type of biking do you do? Long rides, touring, short rec rides.

I'll be doing my 3rd metric century this weekend. Other than those, which I love, I do some weekend riding around the roads here in the east bay.


6. How often do you bike? Your approximate annual mileage?

only get out about once a week now for 30-60 miles, but want to build up.


If you haven't already, perhaps you might indicate your age. It helps others to see that folks 50+ do great things.

Still 56, my goal ride for this year is to do the 110 miles in the Tour de Tucson in November as part of a Rotary contingent.
