for now i have my eye in this few: Shamal™ Ultra™ clincher, the Bullet™ 80mm ,50mm. or the HED jets. My price limit is $1500. and if there is another set i should be looking at please send it my way.
the type of riding i'll be doing will be some road racing around my area witch it can be pretty flat, but also planning doing some other areas like WV mountains to get some climbing action, a few TRI's half ironman that i already sing in. so Im looking for something that it could fit all this types of riding. i was hoping someone could help me with my research. or direct me to another existing thread.
thanks in advance
If you are serious about training and performance:
Buy a used Powertap SL+ hub or try to spend < $650 for one. Lace it to HED C2 rims with aero spokes (SAPIM CX-RAY, DT-Swiss Aerolites, etc.). Will be a really good all-around wheelset you can train and race on. If you want to go snazzy, get a Gen. 3 PowerTap hub. This wheelset can be built for less than something like generic clinchers like Campagnolo Shamals, which might look cool but will give you almost ZERO performance benefit.
