That is a new idea to me - sandals on the bike. I could see that being useful for warm and rainy. We haven't had much rain this summer, but my plan has been (if it ever rains) to wear my old beat-up yard work shoes that I don't care about for the wet ride. But the sandals ideas has me thinking.... I might have to do a test run around the neighborhood and see if I like riding with sandals at all. Thanks for the idea - that is useful to consider.
I have two pairs of biking sandals -- Keen and Shimano, so they work with clips. I wear socks under them when it's cold, or Goretex socks on top of thin ordinary socks if it's cold and wet/windy. There's also the option of shoe covers over the sandals.
