I have owned and ridden two De Rosas from completely different eras (mid / late '70s, late '80s). The riding impression each bike gave (gives) bears out the brand's reputation solidly and I am sold. Apart from that, one of the things I like about De Rosas is that they aren't overly styled.
That said, I've had a thing for Ciocc for a long time, really pretty much based on an article / review I read in the '80s. I used to see them when riding the Tuesday & Thursday criterium / training rides in Long Beach around that time also and I couldn't afford anything like that...I like them, but I am a semi-out-of-shape rider / appreciator not a connoisseur / collector.
