New road bike rider wonders about comfort in a CAAD10 5
Hi there.
I'm a 5 ft 8 narrow guy looking for a long distance road bike.
I have had a hybrid for years - on flats I typically average about 12 mph and its very upright and steel and heavy.
I am about to buy a road bike with the plan to be doing 50-75 miles a day on weekends.
I have read about a lot of bikes and had my heart set on a CAD10 5 but my wife pointed out it has a very low handlebar
compared to the seat and wouldn't be comfortable for long rides and was looking for people's views on this.
The Synapse 6 I believe is designed for more upright riding but I dont want to find that by buying that I am still going to get
the same old 12 mph ride. Anyone know how fast you can ride a Synapse without killing yourself.
I plan on trying a CAAD5 and a Raleigh Revenio 3.0 this weekend and am looking for that magic combination
of both speed and comfort. Am I kidding myself?
Also i am not a very good hillrider and have heard the CAAD10 with it's low weight is a good hill bike? Can anyone confirm?
