Usually traffic laws are passed by State Governments. But I don't know about La. I don't believe if the state of Fl gives me a legal right to ride in the streets, that a city can legislate me off MY streets.
This sounds like something started by some city councilman who had been given the bird by a bicyclist.
But why $75.00 how much for moter vehicles?
With all the red light cameras in use today I forsee that bikes may someday require a lic.tag so they can be identified breaking traffic laws.
