I am curious, how was the bike displayed in the store before you bought it? Was it on a kickstand and did they take the kickstand off after the purchase?
Some of Trek’s low end bikes do come with kickstands. Most of their cruisers come from the factory with kickstands included. If you go to their web site you will see that the kickstand on the cruisers is one of their selling points. Both models of their Transport come with a Double-Legged Kickstand.
I heard a rumor that Trek was going to discontinue their cruiser line in 2013. Has anyone else heard that?
