Bikes: '96 Litespeed Catalyst, '05 Litespeed Firenze, '06 Litespeed Tuscany, '20 Surly Midnight Special, All are 3x10. It is hilly around here!

The top tutorial is fine and correct. The lower one seems accurate but needs a lot better production values.

You will need the Park BBT-22 or equivalent bottom bracket tool. Also try to get a 40mm or 50mm long M8x1.0 (NOT an M8x1.25) bolt to hold the bottom bracket tool in place while you tighten the drive side in place. The recommended installation torque is very high and it's easy for the tool to slip out of the splines if it isn't firmly held in place.
