The 520s are long pull levers for v-brakes (a.k.a. linear brakes). They're not for cantis which use short-pull (or standard-pull) levers. So, you can either switch to short-pull levers, or switch to v-brakes. You might be happier with v-brakes since they're cheaper, easier to adjust, and generally give as good or better stopping power than cantis.
