I think the frame is just called a Schwinn Aluminum Comp. It really doesn't have a name other than Aluminum on the top tube. I am using nothing of the original bike other than the frame. It came with all cheap low end parts (crappy derailleurs, cheap heavy front suspension fork, steel handlebars, crappy 26" wheels, etc). I am using my nicest stuff on the build for now. I might move the components and fork over to a different higher quality frame one of these days but for now, I'm pretty happy with the bike.
