The Pake French 75 is a lot better than most people give it credit for. I recently built one up for a customer and - while it didn't ride as nicely as my Gara - it wasn't a harsh ride at all and was very responsive.

The welds are nice, the carbon fork is beautiful, it doesn't weigh a ton (frame = 3 lbs, 11 oz (55cm), fork = 1 lb, 6 oz) and overall it's a great aluminum frame.
