That is true... (speaking from experiencing a 26.7 MPH average ride for over 50 miles on "false flats")

Of course the real point here is that sprint speed means even less than avg speed. When it comes to sprints it is only about who crosses the line first... whether you are going 30 MPH up a hill or 40 MPH down a hill.

Not many people can sustain full sprint speed for more than 200 - 300 meters anyway.
